Make labor more beautiful (Impressions of Jintai)

In May, the sun shines brightly; in May, everything is in full bloom.

The annual "May Day" International Labor Day has arrived. On this grand festival for workers, people enjoy the holiday and a good life while remembering where they came from and singing praises of labor. "Let 'Labor is glorious and creation is great' become a resounding slogan of our times, and let 'Labor is the most glorious, noble, great and beautiful' become a prevailing trend."

At the founding of New China, "Working is beautiful" was widely circulated as a slogan, inspiring people to engage in the arduous construction work. Time passes, but the spirit remains. Today, we should still uphold this shining concept so that the recognition that labor is beautiful can take root in people's hearts and use hard work to write a beautiful chapter.

Labor is beautiful because the wealth created by labor is beautiful. From our ancestors polishing stone tools and making fire by drilling wood to today's robots showing their skills and drones blossoming everywhere; from the ingenious work of the Dujiangyan Irrigation System to the speed of the "Fuxing" bullet train; from the debate of Confucianism, Mencius, Laozism and Zhuangzism to the sudden appearance of "Ne Zha: The Resurrection"; from Guo Shoujing's star-observing tower in the Yuan Dynasty to today's "Tianyan" in Guizhou; from the gardens of the Ming and Qing dynasties to the skyscrapers of our times... All of these are the beautiful crystallization of labor and the fruitful results of laborers, which have laid a solid foundation for our beautiful life. The progress of human civilization is a beautiful epic written by the brush of labor, depicting lasting images on the scroll of time.

Labor is also beautiful because the process of labor is beautiful. No matter what kind of labor, it requires time and energy, a relatively arduous process, and dedication and perseverance. Whether it is the electric welder building a bridge or the technician operating a shield machine; whether it is the programmer developing AI or the worker facing flying steel; whether it is the engineer "forging swords" in the science and technology laboratory or the farmer "embroidering flowers" on the terraced fields... When people see their sweaty temples, focused eyes, and skilled hands, they will exclaim: The posture of working earnestly is the most beautiful. This embodies the beauty of strength and wisdom, the beauty of the spirit of struggle, and the beauty of unity and cooperation.
